Operation Manager (Food & Beverage)

This position is responsible for the overall operation of current outlet under SGH /SRV and the future projects, direct the internal structure of an organization based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and that deadlines are met consistently. Ensure financial targets and other agreed targets are met in all departments.
Responsibilities :
Corporate, Legal & General Management
- Ensure the business operates within the company's mission statement and compliance with franchise agreement
- Set up and review SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for each subsidiary to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise an alternative
- Making sure safety regulations are followed [link removed] & Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace
- Liaise with all relevant parties on corporate affairs and legal issues.
- Assist, arrange and coordinate with relevant parties and government agencies to obtain necessary F&B related licenses.
Accounting, Finance & Administration
- Driving the business to increase profits, Responsible for the performance of P&L of all F&B subsidiaries
- Assists MD and outlet managers in setting goals that promote company growth
- Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organizational reports as needed
Human Resources & Training
- Provides advice and guidance to employees
- Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadline
- Keeping employees motivated and organizing appropriate training
- Working with outlet manager of each subsidiary to get the best performance from staff
- Support, develop and organize training activities and programs.
- Oversee and organize all pre-opening recruitment activities and events for BOH and FOH local personnel.
- Oversee and assist in planning, implementation and enhancement of HR policies and practices coincide with franchisor’s policies and standards.
Operation & Culinary Management
- Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner
- Keep eyes on all service elements such as food standards, staff manner, customer complaints, safety, resolving conflicts and getting the job done.
- Manages stock and inventory system
- Oversee and assist with the quality control and menu development.
- Assist franchisor with knowledge and the dos and don’ts of the local culture, traditional, taste and preferences
- Investigating customer satisfaction and reporting any issues
IT
- Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements POS systems to boost company effectiveness
- Lead and ensure effective IT implementations.
- Support and coordinate with outlet manager and SGH/SPW for IT strategies and development.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Operations Management or Business Field preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience as F&B Manager/Assistant or senior restaurant operation manager required
- Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable to change and driven to achieve results
- Exceptional coaching skills, strong decision making, action planning and prioritization skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Knowledge of safety, quality control and cost control
- Commitment to provide the highest level of support and quality service
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to lead large teams and groups
- Good attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of industry standards and practices
- Ability to create and implement new policies and procedures to increase efficiency
- Analytical skills
- Knowledge of production and operations analysis software
