- Client Engagement and Problem-Solving:
- Lead engagements with major retailer clients to gain a deep understanding of their business challenges and growth opportunities.
- Partner with retail executives to define problem statements and shape data-driven strategic solutions.
- Analysis Framework and Insight Discovery:
- Oversee the creation of analysis frameworks and guide data scientists in conducting relevant insights discovery.
- Data Interpretation and Strategic Recommendations:
- Interpret complex data sets and translate analytical findings into clear and actionable strategic recommendations.
- Business Case Development:
- Structure data-backed business cases to persuade retailers to invest in the proposed solutions.
- Advisor on Data Analytics:
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor who guides retail clients on leveraging data analytics to optimize growth.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit and manage a team of retail consulting members, providing coaching and professional development.
- Client Deliverables and Account Management:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality client outcomes, timely project execution, and effective account management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field, such as Business, Statistics, or Marketing.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in relevant roles, including:
- For FMCGs: Trade Marketing, Insight Analyst, Customer Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Shopper Insights.
- For Retailers: Trade Marketing, Customer Insights, Insight Analyst.
- For Agencies: Experience with Nielsen (retail measurement team) and Kantar Worldpanel is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing retail consulting teams.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders of varying levels across the business.
- Strong presentation skills, both in creating and delivering presentations.
- Proficiency in understanding complex business questions and crafting appropriate briefs.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- A plus if experienced with solutions and data such as dunnhumby, C-smart, and Kantar Worldpanel data.
