Coffee & Operation Manager (Courtyard)

As a Coffee & Operations Manager, you will responsible for:

  • Oversee daily coffee station operations, ensuring smooth service, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ensure regular cleaning and upkeep of coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment.
  • Lead baristas and front-of-house staff, ensuring high standards in coffee preparation and customer service.
  • Train staff on brewing, espresso techniques, and quality standards to maintain drink consistency.
  • Monitor and reorder inventory (coffee beans, milk, syrups, etc.) to maintain stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Optimize workflows and implement procedures to enhance service speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Address customer complaints and provide solutions to maintain satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate staff, providing ongoing feedback and skill development.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and top-quality ingredients.
  • Lead the creation of new coffee blends, beverages, and menu items, experimenting with trends and customer preferences.
  • Oversee coffee roasting, ensuring quality, consistency, and sustainability in sourcing.
  • Monitor sales, costs, and inventory to optimize budget and pricing strategies for profitability.

The ideal candidate should possess the following background:

  • Proven experience in a coffee-focused or food & beverage management role, ideally with experience in both coffee and operational management.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, roasting techniques, and equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in developing and launching new food or beverage items, with a strong understanding of market trends.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic financial acumen, including budgeting, inventory management, and sales tracking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
