Tooling Service Engineer

You will develop comprehensive Tooling and material management strategies cross-border with current FS Tool DEPOT and processes to schedule and deploy the tools across various sites in TH/AP. Considering factors such as time zones, travel logistics, and local customer priorities. Continuously encouraging tooling capacity and workload across different regions. Anticipating potential bottlenecks and taking proactive measures to optimize tooling utilization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide standard and special tooling, special devices, EHS equipment, consumables, and PPE (as required) to cover Asia-Pacific service activities for SE medium-size gas turbines, SGT800. Enabling achievement of project and customer critical metrics, cost efficiency and within the requirements of quality and EHS.
- Team development, coordination, and management of Tool Depot of Field Service Thailand. Responsible for the provision of standard and special tooling as above.
- Establish, maintain, and handle as well as further improve processes, procedures and activities for maintenance, refill, certification, and testing of relevant tooling and devices, incl. preparation of checklists prior to submission to customers in accordance with the product line and Siemens Energy global guidelines.
- Operational and strategic development of Tool Depot capabilities, including planning and forecasting for tooling, maintenance repair, refurbishment, and certification.
- To implement a global tooling management system TCTP for Thailand Tool DEPOT.
- Coordinating subcontractor services for tools and device maintenance, including preparing and checking inquiries/offers, orders to sub-suppliers, and following up delivery and payment schedules within the organization's guidelines and targets.
- Support the operation of the Tooling Center and other internal departments in preparing service tools for project sites in THAILANDฤ or abroad.
- Improve tools and devices through creativity, feedback, benchmarks, and global network for continuous improvement. Development of Lean measures as applicable.
- Plan short and medium-term outages, develop strategy, and set up tools in region AP for efficient cost, quality, performance, and EHS.
- Actively supervise and lead cost centre performance based on guidelines and standards provided
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Validated experience in Tooling & Material Management and Spare Part Management Minimum 5 Years
- Knowledge of tools and spare part strategy with associated field service is an advantage
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sophisticated data sets and drive concrete insights.
- English proficiency in both spoken and written.
- Strong with MS Suite, SAP and Tooling management software.
