Job Description & Summary

We’re looking for a new manager to join our Independence team. Independence is paramount to the integrity of our business and requires a dynamic approach in our highly regulated environment.
As a manager in the Independence team, you’ll play an important role in managing the internal risks related to our professional independence as an audit firm. This includes accepting new clients or engagements and addressing risks associated with new, ongoing or non-audit engagements. You’ll also help ensure that our business is fully compliant with relevant independence rules and regulations, promote all standardised quality and compliance activities, and ensure adherence to the firm’s policies and professional standards.


Responsibilities

  • Support senior managers on independence activities and global projects
  • Help our staff evaluate and ensure their personal conduct and engagements comply with independence requirements
  • Handle non-complex independence matters
  • Conduct compliance and risk assessments
  • Monitor compliance with the applicable independence rules and regulations
  • Perform compliance reviews and evaluations, and generate relevant documents and/or reports
  • Plan and organise your own work, and keep others informed of status and activities
  • Ensure that work is completed on time
  • Support compliance awareness-raising activities
  • Work effectively under pressure and prioritise work appropriately

Required experience and qualifications

  • Five years’ relevant work experience in risk and quality and/or independence for a professional services firm
  • An internal audit or accounting background will be preferred
  • Familiarity in accounting standards and/or independence standards
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Thai
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and other digital skills
  • Effective, confident and able to multitask
  • Good at project management
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think logically
  • Able to manage tight timelines
