Job Description & Summary
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders from various lines of service to identify and define digital opportunities that align with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform the product strategy.
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring its alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to balance demands with business goals, technical feasibility, available resources and timelines.
- Gather and document detailed requirements from stakeholders, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development process.
- Ensure clear communication of requirements to the development team.
- Work with stakeholders to make decisions regarding the product features, priorities and scope.
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and the development team, ensuring that the product vision is realised.
- Monitor progress and provide ongoing feedback to ensure products are delivered on time and within scope.
- Conduct regular product reviews and updates with stakeholders.
- Oversee the launch of digital products, ensuring that they deliver value and meet the business objectives.
- Track product performance and key metrics to identify areas of improvement for future product iterations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a product owner or business analyst role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex business challenges
- Strong empathy for customers and an ability to translate their needs into actionable digital product requirements
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial metrics pertinent to digital product management
- Understanding of PwC’s businesses and services (Assurance, Tax, Deals, Consulting) is a plus
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and digital product development processes
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools, including Agile and Waterfall
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new ideas with technical team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong negotiation skills to balance stakeholder needs and prioritise features effectively
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Technology-led mindset with a passion for digital innovation
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
