Job Description & Summary

As a Digital Product Owner at PwC, you will be responsible for defining digital assets to meet the needs of PwC's internal teams, including Assurance, Risk Assurance, Tax, Deals, Consulting and Internal Firm Services. Your role will involve identifying opportunities, managing demand and designing the elements required to deliver high-value digital solutions.


Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from various lines of service to identify and define digital opportunities that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform the product strategy.
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring its alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to balance demands with business goals, technical feasibility, available resources and timelines.
  • Gather and document detailed requirements from stakeholders, translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Create user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development process.
  • Ensure clear communication of requirements to the development team.
  • Work with stakeholders to make decisions regarding the product features, priorities and scope.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the business and the development team, ensuring that the product vision is realised.
  • Monitor progress and provide ongoing feedback to ensure products are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Conduct regular product reviews and updates with stakeholders.
  • Oversee the launch of digital products, ensuring that they deliver value and meet the business objectives.
  • Track product performance and key metrics to identify areas of improvement for future product iterations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a product owner or business analyst role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex business challenges
  • Strong empathy for customers and an ability to translate their needs into actionable digital product requirements
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial metrics pertinent to digital product management
  • Understanding of PwC’s businesses and services (Assurance, Tax, Deals, Consulting) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and digital product development processes
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new ideas with technical team members
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills to balance stakeholder needs and prioritise features effectively
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Technology-led mindset with a passion for digital innovation
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
