Senior Investment Management Specialist

This senior role in the Finance Function, reporting to the Head of Investment and ALM, is responsible for portfolio and investment management. This critical role drives strategic initiatives to optimize investment performance. The role requires a deep understanding of portfolio and investment management including in-depth knowledge of investable assets in investment universe, investment risk management and hedging instruments, macroeconomic and financial analysis, investment accounting standard and external/internal investment regulation. Excellent stakeholder management at local, Group and externals level is essential. The ability to work independently and make pragmatic decisions is also required.
Key Responsibilities
Work independently with limited guidance on assignments including but not limited to:
1. Portfolio Management:
- Collaborate and liaise with external fund/investment managers
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance using quantitative methods
- Actively monitor portfolio credit risk
- Assist Head of Investment Management on portfolio duration management
- Propose the use of derivatives to manage portfolio/investment risks and execute derivative transactions and FX hedging
- Execute tactical/strategic portfolio rebalancing
- Collaborate on foreign investment initiatives
- Manage investment cashflow and support the Company’s cash management
- Provide investment insights to support new product development.
- Maintain investment system for portfolio management
- Provide timely economic and market updates for portfolio management decision.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Conduct annual review of investment policies
- Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Support internal and external auditing
- Stay up to date on the latest accounting, regulatory and controls developments
3. Project Management & Innovation:
- Support investment projects and process improvements.
- Generate innovative investment ideas
- Work on ad hoc assignments
4. Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare detailed investment reports for FD/QD, ALMCO, MIC, IC, RMC and BOD.
5. Internal Collaboration:
- Provide coaching to team members to improve team capability and flexibility to support rapid changes in business needs.
