As Web Tech Lead you will be technically responsible for the Web development team.
You will report to the Head of Web. In a situation where the Head of Web position is unoccupied or the Head of Web is not on duty you will report directly to the VP Engineering.
Key responsibilities will be to take ownership of the technical aspect of the companyâs web applications, provide technical leadership to the Web team, assist in extending the team with the right talent and grow our reputation as an expert in the industry.
You will be required to participate in the following meetings:
- Lead the weekly or biweekly frontend team meeting
- Attend and contribute to the weekly tech leads meeting with other tech leads, Head of Engineering (and CTO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and build web applications
- Provide solution architecture for web applications, in cooperation with other team members such as cloud architects
- Understand the big picture and the high-level engineering project details
- Answering technical questions that team or stakeholders have
- Be responsible for the performance and quality of web applications
- Helping the team resolve difficult engineering problems
- Maintaining the project technical vision clear for everyone, from beginning to end
- Reviewing the decisions the team makes to ensure consistency and alignment with the vision of the company and the business objectives of the clients
- Knowing team members strengths and weaknesses
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other members of the team
- Take lead in technical job interviews and help to grow the team
- Proficient with TypeScript/HTML/CSS
- Strong experience with React JS
- Keep up to date on related technology and libraries
- Help to grow our reputation as an expert in meetings with clients and the industry
- Define tooling for the Web team
- Help to define the CI/CD process in cooperation with other team members such as backend tech lead and QA Lead
- Bridge communication between your team and other teams, such as the design team
