- Collaborate with the regional H&S team to design and execute strategic health, safety and wellbeing plans, programs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), with a focus on promoting awareness and fostering a strong H&S culture in Thailand.
- Provide expert consultation and technical support to guarantee the effective application of H&S priorities throughout all Thailand-based operations.
- Lead and manage H&S initiatives, training programs, and compliance activities in accordance with regional standards and local regulations specific to Thailand.
- Assess and address any gaps in H&S compliance, ensuring alignment with both local laws and regional H&S standards across business operations in Thailand.
- Mentor and support H&S Committee Members, Safety Officers, First Aiders, and Emergency Responders, building their competence in addressing H&S issues and reinforcing a culture of safety.
- Identify and assess potential H&S hazards in retail locations, distribution centers, events, and other company facilities across Thailand.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies that comply with local legislative requirements while aligning with regional H&S standards.
- Partner with regional and local stakeholders to manage emergency response protocols, ensuring employee preparedness through drills and awareness initiatives.
- Develop and implement Health & Wellbeing programs that focus on managing and mitigating occupational health hazards and promote mental wellness to support employees' overall wellbeing.
- Contribute to the ISO 45001 certification process by developing procedures, conducting internal audits, and leading the certification journey.
- Manage and oversee H&S programs, projects, and activities, ensuring they stay within budget and align with Thailand s operational goals.
- Oversee the reporting and investigation of H&S incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and track the implementation of corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all H&S-related matters in Thailand, liaising with internal teams, vendors, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
- What you will bring Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety management or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in H&S management, preferably within large organizations with multiple locations throughout Thailand, retail business will be advantageous.
- Certified or registered as a Safety Officer at the Professional Level with the Thailand Department of Labor Protection and Welfare.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing H&S strategies, systems, and programs, as well as leading H&S Committees to strengthen safety practices and foster a positive safety culture.
- In-depth knowledge of Thailand H&S legislation, ISO 45001 standards, and H&S management systems and ability to apply requirements practically and resourcefully.
- Adept at driving H&S performance, highly skilled in analyzing and advising on H&S and risk management matters, working collaboratively with stakeholders to tackle complex challenges to promote a safety-first culture.
- Demonstrated flexibility and initiative, with a strong capacity to work independently and adapt swiftly to evolving business needs while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficient in planning, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
- Excellent communicator, with proven influencing capabilities and a solid background in change management. Fluency in both English and Thai.
