Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Manager
Job Description for the Position of:
The Digital Marketing & E-commerce Manager is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of digital marketing and ecommerce activities for Park Hyatt Bangkok.
This position will be responsible for developing and executing the digital marketing strategy and e-Commerce strategy, with the primary goals being:
- Increase Conversion and revenue on all digital distribution channels
- Increase Direct Channel Mix to meet goal
- Meet World of Hyatt Room Night Penetration Goal
Key Responsibilities:
- Search Engine Marketing (including PPC, SEO, SEM, Metasearch)
- Mobile Marketing
- Display Advertising
- Marketing via corporate channels and all 3rd party channels
- E-Commerce Activities & OTA Management
- Strategic Management of the website and apps
REPORTING LINE:
The position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing with dotted line to Director of Revenue.
The position will also work closely with the Assistant Director of Marcom and Cluster Digital Team
Essential Functions:
- Set overall Digital and E-Commerce direction to drive room and other related revenues (i.e. F&B, spa, meetings, weddings & events.)
- Maintain and own overall hotel digital budget and related vendor/agency relationships (i.e. Supporting billing and invoicing needs)
- Work with DOSM and Cluster Digital Marketing Team to prepare Digital Marketing expense Budget during business planning season
- Work closely with Asst Director of Marcom and Cluster Digital Marketing Team to ensure the annual Digital Marketing and Social Media Plan are strategic and measurable and are adjusted along with the business needs
- Provide ongoing updates of industry news, trends, issues, site features and best practices to DOSM and GM and educate all stake holders on digital marketing essentials
- Tracks vendor performance and escalating issues where necessary
- Work closely with the Director of Revenue and OTA Managers to maximize efficiencies in hotel’s channel mix and e-Commerce strategies
- Own all digital and E-commerce related activities to drive performance and digital direct revenue for the Hotel
- Achieve the set KPI’s for the calendar year
- Serve as primary point of contact for the hotel within the responsible area for digital marketing and e-Commerce related questions and activities
- Work closely with Cluster Digital Marketing Team and with the appointed Agencies to improve traffic, conversion and revenue from web-internal channel through SEO, SEM, Display Media (PPC), MetaSearch, GDN for prospecting and re-marketing campaigns.
- Work with Cluster Digital Marketing Team and appointed Agencies to continue improving Search Engine Optimization for Park Hyatt BKK website through on-site optimization, off-site optimization, keyword optimization, Google My Business, search word purchase and utilization
- Support regional and global activations and campaigns on Hyatt.com and apps localization to maximize results
- Content Management: Manage, maintain, review and update all content on any online platform: Tripadvisor, OTA’s, Holidaycheck, metasearch engines, and other relevant sites to ensure the right content and pictures are displayed at all times
- Regularly review visual and written content on all digital media platforms, (photos, artworks, descriptions) to ensure they are on brand and accurate
- Ensure the content on brand website is refreshed, managed and maintained seamlessly in all required languages, as per standard guidelines
- Paid Marketing: Work with Assistant Director of Marcom to review performance and efficiency of each paid social media campaigns by analyzing the data and report to DOSM
- OTA Management: Work closely with Director of Revenue to manage all OTA marketing initiatives
- Review the metrics on the monthly and quarterly OTA reports, including performance of campaigns and channels, along with return on investment statistics and draw conclusions on the way forward
- Maximize and optimize the performance of all OTAs
- Work with Director of Revenue to run efficiently Travel Ads by creating compelling content with relevant key words at the right timings based on the different market behaviors and seasons
- Understand the key OTA’s strategies and needs for the hotel and maximize any opportunity
- Maintain close and regular relationship with the market managers in conjunction with the DOSM and Director of Revenue to understand market trends
- Work with Director of Revenue and DOSM to propose and implement promotional offers to ensure timeliness to market.
- Attend weekly Revenue Meetings to ensure strategy is aligned with the business needs and present & explain the analytics of the digital marketing report and the actions to improve results
- Fully exploit the available Digital Marketing Analytics too and review with DOSM, DOREV and Asst. Dir of Marcom to understand trends, demand and customer behavior and implement strategies and tactics accordingly
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
- Brainstorm new and creative digital growth strategies
- Carry out special projects as assigned by DOSM
- Be a champion for innovation in the area of online marketing and channel engagement
- Candidate must have hotel experience.
