Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, process optimization, innovation, and cost reduction in operations.
  • Establish and drive plant objectives to meet production targets, quality standards, and budgetary requirements.
  • Steer long-term planning initiatives to ensure the company’s operational readiness by effectively collaborating with senior management to define objectives, goals, and performance metrics.
Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage resources, including human, financial, and material, to optimize operational performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational success.
  • Oversee all aspects of plant production, ensuring that production schedules are met.
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Analyze operational data and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement and maintain quality control systems.
  • Address quality issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
Team Leadership & Engagement:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and standards.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Develop talent pipelines and succession plans for key roles in the organization.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and manage recruitment, training, and retention of employees.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance processes, technologies, and systems across all operations.
  • Streamline processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Identify and rectify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process.
Technology, Innovation & Product Development
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the company competitive.
  • Implement digital transformation initiatives to enhance production and operational capabilities.
  • Support and collaborate with R&D and product development teams to bring new products to market.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new product launches.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and product improvements.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and other applicable laws.
  • Remain updated on regulatory changes and promptly integrate required adaptations.
Maintenance and Equipment:
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure machinery is in good working order and maintenance schedules are adhered to.
  • Plan for and manage capital projects and upgrades.
Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
  • Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize production without overstocking.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage operational budgets.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
  • Work with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on operations, performance, and key initiatives.
  • Address and resolve operational issues and challenges promptly.
  • Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with external parties.
Risk Management:
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess and mitigate operational risks.
  • Establish protocols for crisis management and business continuity planning to ensure resilience in the face of unforeseen events.
Sustainability Initiatives:
  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible resource management.
  • Evaluate opportunities for renewable energy integration, waste reduction, and eco-friendly practices within industrial operations.
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Initiatives:
  • Support the development with our experts and drive the implementation of ESG initiatives to promote ethical practices and sustainability.
  • Monitor and report on ESG performance metrics.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with ESG goals and objectives

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Senior Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Manufacturing Industry: Extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in operational management roles.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven track record in strategic planning and execution within a manufacturing setting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Financial acumen: Strong background in budgeting, cost control, and optimizing operational expenses while meeting financial objectives.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale projects and overseeing capital improvements.
