About Manager in Training

The Manager in Training program at Four Seasons is designed to give you the tools to accelerate your career – and succeed as a Manager at Four Seasons along 12 – 18 months. In addition to operational exposure and training, you‟ll be exposed to valuable management experiences, project work, a buddy and mentor, as well as feedback throughout the program.

The program will give you the tools, but you‟ll also need to work hard and prove yourself. Work with your Department and Division Heads, and make sure you show them you are eager to learn, willing to work hard, and open to new experiences.

As a Manager In Training, you‟ll be spending your time in the program striving towards mastering the Assistant Manager set of competencies, however, you‟ll also be measured against the expectations for hourly employees (Individual Contributors). At the start of the program, most of the discussion will focus on the Individual Contributor competencies (called ASPECT), but as you get closer to the end of the program, more and more focus will be spent on the Assistant Manager competencies and your performance against them.

Feedback discussions will happen every 3 months with an objective of giving you clear feedback on your performance level and how you can grow successfully into an Assistant Manager role.

You will be able to demonstrate and develop your management skills by completing exciting project work within your department (see further on in the guide for a template to help you!). The project will be based on one of the following elements:

  • Staff morale and motivation;
  • Standards achievement;
  • Increasing revenue; or
  • Decreasing costs.

Candidates must have a firm knowledge of hotel operations and complete at least bachelor’s degree from Hospitality Management or related from well-known Hotel Management School. Candidates must speak read and write Thai as well as being fluent in English. Must have the right to work in Thailand.

Visa and Work Permit sponsorship is not available for the role. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
