What are the responsibilities? 

The responsibilities of Marketing Executives are...

  • Create Brand Awareness

  • Communicate with the target audience and bring positive image of the company to them 

  • Assist other Marketing departments with different campaigns 

  • Assist Marketing Manager to strategize different Marketing tactics 

  • Find spots for advertisements and ways to share the articles the the target audience

  • Coordinate with the graphic team both internally and externally

  • Create the advertisement for both online and offline channels 

  • Create interesting content through videos or blogs 

  • Control different online channel (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) to reach out to the target audience 

  • Plan a variety of events (meeting, conference, exhibition, etc.)

  • Cooperate with the designers, photographers, and other colleagues 

  • Track and analyze the results of the advertisements through different social outlets

  • Regularly update up-to-date information for the clients

What are the salaries of Marketing Executive?

  • Marketing Assistant: the start salary may not be as high; the range is from Baht 12k to 20k.

  • Senior Marketing Executive: the salary is bearable; it could be as high as Baht 80k.

  • Marketing Director: the salary is typically around Baht 100k or higher depending on a candidate’s ability and experience.

Is the workload heavy? 

If talking about working hours of a Marketing Executive, they are generally from 9AM - 5PM on weekdays with weekends off. Some companies, however, ask you to work every Saturday for 1-4 hours on top of the weekdays working hours. Some companies also do some conferences outside of working hours and expect you to be there as well. 

This position opens to  part-timer, short-term contractor, and full-timer. It also depends on the needs of each company, however, most companies want employees that are working for full-time.
 


 

What can you expect from a career as a Marketing Executive?

  • Mostly, you will be located in an office. You sometimes have to meet clients or complete tasks outside the office. 

  • If you have had many Marketing-related experience, you could work as a freelancer as well. 

  • You will mostly be located in big urban areas instead of small rural areas because that is where most businesses are located at 

  • This career is both challenging and fun. If you like to initiate ideas and thoughts, this may be the career for you! 

  • If your company is international, you may have many opportunities for you to work overseas.

Is experience really required?

Some firms expected that you already have prior related experience and some others expect new graduates. If you are just about to start in this career, we would recommend you to start with a company that has organized structures to see a big picture of that company or start with a junior position to build a strong base.
